January - Week Four

This week we will not meeting and instead focusing on rest. We believe that resting is not simply inaction but also striving towards a state of peace and recovery that will help us to recenter ourselves and gives us the space to practice mindfulness of ourselves and our environments. The Sabbath as described in the Bible is a tradition rooted in the practice of leaving time open as an intentional practice of resting and to spend that time thinking about truths and appreciating goodness and beauty. We here in the West often obsess about action and ‘Doing” things so much that we often forget to stop, breathe, and enjoy the good things that we have worked for.

Please join us in finding the relaxation we all need. Yours perhaps different than mine but all helpful. Be blessed, refreshed, and we’ll see you next week!
